With rings on her fingers and bells on her toes :)

My latest lovely bride, who had a gorgeous vintage style wedding with a mad hatter's tea party style reception!

She went for a classic updo which gave her lots of volume and really showed off her bone structure and the pretty sweet heart neckline.

My next bride has chosen something very very very unusual!!!!!  I can't wait till her wedding next month and I can show you what she went for her special day :) xxx

Weddings, weddings, weddings!

Tis the season to get married :) I love doing weddings, that special day where you can look like a gorgeous princess and where awsume things like tiara's and white silk ballgowns!

I adore doing bridal hair and make up, seeing girls squeal at how elegant they look makes me smile and feel all warm and fizzy inside.

Here are a couple of my beautiful brides and bridesmaids I have had the delight to work with......

Many more to come :)

Lots of Love

Above is my Ever After costume.
Below is the Original from the Film!

More Costumes....

My RAT Man Costume from the Opera - Mozart's The Magic Flute.

Here is the Design - by Marie Jean Lecca.

I had so much dying and printing and working into the textiles on this costume!

I FINISHED MY DEGREE!!!!!!!

I am so exited , and very very tired to have just graduated from my 3 year degree in Costume Interpretation for Film and Theatre. (sounds posh but its basically professional fancy dress!)

Just had my degree show where all my years work was displayed. (photos below)

This costume is an Interpretation of the 'JUST BREATHE' gown from the film Ever After. I hand painted and beaded the fabric, and made the wings myself too out of piano wire and tulle net.

More much better photos are coming soon promise.....

Photographs in the Forest

I have been super super busy in my very last final term of Uni. Getting all my costumes ready for my degree show in London. This week I went on a Photoshoot with my lovely friends Emily & Sophie into the woods with some of my work.

Heres what we did.........

I did the hair and make up too. Using mainly my Urban Decay NAKED palette and SLEEK peach blusher.

Please take a look at the photographers website for some AMAZING images ---

Product Review of Colour B4!

After a couple of weeks of thinking I have decided I want to lighten my hair!

Though this will be a long and tricky process as I have been dying my hair dark brown for the last 10 months. Soooooooooooooooooooooooo I had heard reviews of Colour B4, a colour remover or stripper sold in Boots and other Drugstores. It was pricey at £12.50, but it looked quite good, claiming to remove a build up of colour with no bleach or stripper, so no damage.

I bought the silver packaged one, extra strength, designed for darker shades of hair colour removal.

So here's what I thought.

Easy to use, very similar to DIY hair dye kits.

This was my hair colour before.

After one session of letting a very smelly lotion settle on my hair for 20 mins then what seemed like an hour of scrubbing and rinsing bent over the bath tub. This was the rather rubbish result.....

Soooo the packet said to try again for stubborn 'cuticle staining' . Soooo back under the tap.....

Which worked a bit better. I think it has stripped my hair maybe 2 shades lighter.

Although it said it didn't use harsh chemicals my hair since has been a bit dry, which means I will have to wait a couple of weeks before I can bleach to let my hair recover.

The other bad thing is my hair smells funny now. It has the same burnt-watermelon smell alot of hair removal creams have, which is weird!? I've washed my hair twice since and the smells still there!

Overall I think that this product is over priced for what it does, maybe around £5.99 would be a more fair price.
Fairly happy with the colour lift it will help in the long run for the big bleach. (although husband did not notice at all the change lol)
Don't like the smell or the dryness it leaves your hair. There must be some sort of strong chemical in it because the t-shirt i was wearing (black) went a spotty grey on the shoulders.

So if you were wondering about whether to use this or not hope this was helpful xxx

My New Foundation Palette!!!!

Finally my new foundation palette came in the post! I'm so exited! Its the Kryolan Ultrafoundation palette for Media, TV etc.

Been having fun mixing up different shades. This foundations coverage is amazing, so much better than shop bought foundations, although it is heavy so you would not want to wear this day to day.

Been really busy this week trying to juggle two uni costume projects and trying to finish my dissertation! my head is swimming, but I keep getting distracted by make up!!!!!!

Its Hammer Time :)

Had so much fun at the celebrations of birthdayness on friday night.

Felt like a proper grown up with wine, cocktails and a cheese selection lol.
The hair and make up went well considering we were in such a last minute made rush.

FIRST - the BEFORE picture. I apologise for the bad photos i didn't have time to take proper ones as guests started to arrive!)

(Note - I fully believe girls should use make up as decoration and NOT as a mask or as a crutch to your self confidence. Although I admit i'm not always comfortable with no make up on, i try to remind myself that appearance is not really who you are and i truly believe with all my heart that true beauty is totally within. When you are comfortable with what face god gave you, and stop slamming yourself for what you are not, can you really start to ENJOY make up as art and not as your confidence.)

I set my hair in rollers for 20 mins & added a white flower hairpiece I got for christmas.
My make up which you can't see very well is pale pink lips teamed with gunmetal and black eyeshadow with a dusting of glitter! And huge false eyelashes :)

My friend Katy I made more of an effort in her hair as she was the Birthday Girl.

I curled her entire head in 1 and 2 inch sections. Then back-combed and drew all her hair to the back of her head. I created a waterfall of loose curls and added a feathered fastinator to the side. Sprayed to fix.

I topped her look with L'oreal Infallible Red Lipstick in Beyonce :)
