Product Review of Colour B4!

After a couple of weeks of thinking I have decided I want to lighten my hair!

Though this will be a long and tricky process as I have been dying my hair dark brown for the last 10 months. Soooooooooooooooooooooooo I had heard reviews of Colour B4, a colour remover or stripper sold in Boots and other Drugstores. It was pricey at £12.50, but it looked quite good, claiming to remove a build up of colour with no bleach or stripper, so no damage.

I bought the silver packaged one, extra strength, designed for darker shades of hair colour removal.

So here's what I thought.

Easy to use, very similar to DIY hair dye kits.

This was my hair colour before.

After one session of letting a very smelly lotion settle on my hair for 20 mins then what seemed like an hour of scrubbing and rinsing bent over the bath tub. This was the rather rubbish result.....

Soooo the packet said to try again for stubborn 'cuticle staining' . Soooo back under the tap.....

Which worked a bit better. I think it has stripped my hair maybe 2 shades lighter.

Although it said it didn't use harsh chemicals my hair since has been a bit dry, which means I will have to wait a couple of weeks before I can bleach to let my hair recover.

The other bad thing is my hair smells funny now. It has the same burnt-watermelon smell alot of hair removal creams have, which is weird!? I've washed my hair twice since and the smells still there!

Overall I think that this product is over priced for what it does, maybe around £5.99 would be a more fair price.
Fairly happy with the colour lift it will help in the long run for the big bleach. (although husband did not notice at all the change lol)
Don't like the smell or the dryness it leaves your hair. There must be some sort of strong chemical in it because the t-shirt i was wearing (black) went a spotty grey on the shoulders.

So if you were wondering about whether to use this or not hope this was helpful xxx
